Freddie Mercury was a sensation, rising to fame in the band Queen, as a vocalist and pianist. He is regarded as one the greatest singers in the history of rock music. His songwriting famously spanned a wide range of genres, and he wrote a huge number of Queen's greatest hits, including 'Killer Queen', 'Bohemian Rhapsody', and 'Don't Stop Me Now'. He also designed Queen's famous logo. Queen's 'Greatest Hits' album is the best-selling album of all time in the UK, and the band has spent more collective weeks on the UK Album Charts than any other musical act.
Freddie is fashioned from triumph Tiger Cub oil tank made in Birmingham. Around his shoulders lies a butcher’s apron fastened with Georgian hooks. His magnificent moustache is a hinge from an 1800’s French Chateau. Atop his water flask head is a crown made from old gas lamp parts made in Birmingham. His regal insignia comes from a biscuit tin lid.
